about my work:
Connections implied, inherent, imagined, and real between objects, iconography,
and materials motivate me conceptually. Physically the work is centered around
connections as well; nails, junctions, appliques, knots...all form integral parts of each piece.
Building and the notion of construction have been constant lures since childhood.
Sculpture and drawings are both constructed, and both always show traces of their
fabrication. Materials are never specific; the works dictate their make-up as they mature.
